Physician Profile (Jonathan Y. Song, MD)
Dr. Jonathan Y. Song has performed over 1400 Laparoscopic and Robot-assisted surgeries and is the Chairman of the Robotics Surgery Committee at Delnor Hospital, and the medical director of Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Presence Mercy Medical Center.  He graduated from Rush Medical College and completed his residency at Rush University Medical Center, and went on to complete a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at the Oak Brook Institute of Endoscopy.  Dr. Song is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is also certified in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery through the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ACGE).  He is also certified in the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.  Dr. Song is an elected fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and is also an elected fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and is the recipient of the Aesculapius Award for excellence in teaching and patient care.  Dr. Song has numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, and has co-authored a chapter in a reproductive surgery textbook.  He has won several surgical awards and is a faculty member of SurgeryU (www.surgeryu.com) and Websurg (www.websurg.com).  Dr. Song is an Assistant Professor at Rush University Medical Center, Dept of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and presents and teaches each year at the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS) meetings.

In practice since 2003, Dr. Song and support team opened their offices in St. Charles and in Naperville, IL in 2007.  The doctor is on staff at Delnor, Central DuPage and Presence Mercy Medical Center.  Drs. Gina and Jonathan Song have three beautiful but very active children who keeps them busy…all the time.
